VenueVerdict announces 2013 Venue Awards.

Austin Court, one of the IET’s venues in Birmingham, has been named No.1 Venue Overall in the VenueVerdict awards. BVA BDRC released the results of the VenueVerdict Group Awards last week, which saw QHotels and EEF Venues both take home two awards each, and etc.venues receive one. This week, however, individual properties were judged according to customer feedback and placed within three categories for overall experience.
Those achieving a Net Promoter Score of +70 or more were graded as Gold Standard, +60 or more where ‘Highly Commended’ and +50 or more were ‘Commended’.
360 properties participated in the customer experience led study, with 31 achieving the Gold Standard award at the end of Q4 2013. These included 6 of QHotels’ properties, 5 of etc.venues’ and 3 of EEF Venues’, all of which received awards at the VenueVerdict Group Awards.
The highest scoring hotel was the Westerwood Hotel, part of the QHotels group, while the No. 1 Sporting Venue was Lord’s. Austin Court won the award for highest rated Conference Centre, putting it in the lead overall. 42 other properties were named as ‘Highly Commended’ and 49 as ‘Commended’.
VenueVerdict is the only hotel industry accreditation scheme to rely solely on customer feedback. Subsequently, the awards recognise those venues which provide an overall experience of a high standard which comes recommended by meeting planners and hosts.
