BVA BDRC win Research Agency Team of the YearBy Tim Barber
BVA BDRC have been named as Research Agency Team of the Year at the 2019 MediaTel Media Research Awards in London. The awards, which celebrate leadership in media research were held for the fifth time on Tuesday 19th February.
The award continues a period of success for BVA BDRC’s Media Team, picking up Best Research Initiative at the Media Research Group Awards in December and a hat-trick of awards at last year’s MediaTel Awards for their work with Channel 4.
BVA BDRC’s team of media research specialists consists of nine people, all of whom started their market research careers with the company as graduates or temporary staff. When accepting the award, team Director, Tim Barber, was keen to pay tribute to this team spirit:
“As well as working together, we often socialise together, sometimes go on holiday together, and even (occasionally) marry each other! The team spirit that this engenders inspires us to pull out all the stops when working to help our clients research the ever-evolving media landscape.”
The team are recognised across the industry for their work on brand and advertising effectiveness, and consumers’ usage of and attitudes toward media services and issues. In order to maintain high levels of service, they work closely with a small number of clients, four of which have been working with BVA BDRC for over a decade. One of these, Ofcom, praised BVA BDRC, saying:
“…we greatly appreciate the added value they provide. They deliver consultancy-level advice on projects they run for us… helping to inform strategic decisions Ofcom makes.”
