DfT Rail Customer Experience Survey – Transition survey - Prize Draw Terms and Conditions 2023

  1. The prize draw is promoted by BVA BDRC, 12-20 Baron Street, London, N1 9LL on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT).
  2. You are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules upon entry, and we reserve the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these rules.


  1. The prize draw is open to all participants aged 16 years or over except the employees of DfT or BVA BDRC, their families, agents, operators or any third party directly associated with the administration of the draw.
  2. You must provide an email address to be entered into the prize draw.
  3. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
  4. Only one entry per person is permitted.
  5. The prize draw is free to enter.


  1. The prize draw will only include those individuals who have completed the DfT Rail Customer Experience Survey, from 16th of every month to the 15th of the following month. Entries after 11:59pm on 15th of every month will be deemed invalid for that respective prize draw and will be included in the next month’s prize draw.
  2. To enter the prize draw, you must complete the DfT Rail Customer Experience Survey, accessed electronically by email or QR code, or via a paper copy.
  3. BVA BDRC accepts no responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.
  4. BVA BDRC accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault or malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.


  1. The winners will be chosen by random draw, no later than two weeks after the closing date.
  2. The prize is subject to availability and is one of five £200 (two hundred pounds) Love2shop vouchers.
  3. BVA BDRC’s use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
  4. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  5. BVA BDRC reserves the right at anytime to substitute, modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this prize draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside their control or to amend or modify these prize draw entry rules or the prize.
  6. The decision of BVA BDRC regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner announcement

  1. The winner will be notified by email no later than 00am on 25th of every month, via the email address provided when completing the survey.
  2. A representative of BVA BDRC will attempt to contact the winner by email up to a maximum of two times.
  3. If any of the winners do not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email they will lose their right to the prize, and BVA BDRC reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.
  4. If the winner fails to meet the eligibility requirements as set out in these terms and conditions or otherwise fails to comply with these terms, this may result in forfeiture of the prize and BVA BDRC reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement.

Receipt of the Prize

  1. Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.

Data protection and publicity

  1. Any personal data relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. This information will not be shared for any other purpose and it will be securely stored. It will be destroyed once prizes have been administered, or retained for 6 months, whichever is sooner. For further information on our privacy policy and your legal rights, please visit www.bva-bdrc.com. We may ask if we can share your details as a winner – if requested by other participants in the prize draw (see 24.) or in the event of the client wishing to publish the information. You have the right to remain anonymous.
  2. The winner(s) details will be available upon request for ninety (90) days after each draw’s closing date, and where the winner(s) has agreed to share their name, by sending a stamped addressed envelope and writing to the following address: “BVA BDRC DfT Rail Customer Experience Survey Prize Draw Winner List Request”, BVA BDRC, 12-20 Baron Street, London, N1 9LL.

Limitation of Liability

  1. In so far as is permitted by law, BVA BDRC will not be responsible for, or liable to compensate the winner for, or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by our negligence.
  2. BVA BDRC does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize.


  1. BVA BDRC reserves the right to void, cancel, suspend or amend the prize draw/survey and/or these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice, where it becomes necessary to do so.
