The context

Numerous governments around the world have set goals to phase out the sale of new petrol and diesel cars as part of their efforts to combat climate change and promote electric vehicles (EVs). Progress has been made but a faster and more widespread transition to EVs is required for these goals to be a reality. What are the emerging hot topics and barriers that must be overcome?

What we did

Social analytics and web scraping over 3 months, in partnership with Uptowns, capturing over 80,000 unfiltered and authentic comments from a multi-national audience.

How it helped

Analysis revealed new trends in sentiment and unanticipated insights, that would not have been revealed by a structured survey, but that provide ammunition for manufacturers’ marketing and sales strategies.
